This is phase one, of a multi-phase project, that explores the complicated and often misunderstood concept of sovereignty as it relates to Point Elliott Treaty of 1855 and the Tulalip Constitution of 1934.
Accompanying this project is a series in the syeceb (Tulalip See-Yaht-Sub) on the history and meaning of tribal sovereignty, treaty rights, environmental stewardship and issues that threaten these important rights that will be written by the Tulalip Tribes Treaty Rights Office to help educate and inform the membership.
